VISION • Why a big job fair? • Serve many customers at once • Make a BIG public presence • Why this venue? • Validates event, draws the public, marketing • What do our customers expect from a job fair? • Employers: High foot traffic & quality applicants • Job Seekers: High quality companies with open jobs

  4. VISION • What are our resources? How do we leverage them? • Your Career Center • Your partner • Your WIB, Chamber of Commerce etc. • Local Government & EOLWD • Mass.gov & Job Quest • Don’t overuse these resources

  5. BUY IN • Your Managers/Director • Your business partner • Your staff • Your job seekers • Your business customers

  6. PLAN • Find your premier venue • Partner with a local business that has “marquee appeal” and a sense of community • How do you market to employers & job seekers? • How do you keep track of everything?

  7. IMPLEMENT • The DCU Center & Worcester Sharks connection • Know business/hiring cycles of your employer base and take advantage of it. • Email, media sites, Twitter, press releases • Maintain a spread sheet, MOSES, communicate with partner about employers.

MEET THE WORCESTER SHARKS • The Worcester Sharks are devoted to providing, in the most fiscally responsible manner, the highest quality sports and entertainment events to the New England community and beyond, through commitment to customer service, community involvement and dedication to excellence. • We are dedicated to building a premier team in the American Hockey League that will perennially contend for the Calder Cup championship and develop future players for the National Hockey League’s San Jose Sharks.

  10. MEET THE WORCESTER SHARKS • Owned and operated by Sharks Sports and Entertainment. • Entering 7th Season in Worcester. • Play 38 home games at DCU Center from October through April. • Average attendance of 4,500 at each home game during 2011-2012 Season.
