Allusion The person or thing working against the protagonist; the antagonist can be a person, a group of people, or a force of nature. John really wanted one, but his parents wouldn’t agree to buy it. “I keep hearing that this is the computer age,” said John. “If it is, I’m sure not living in it.” “You’re surrounded by computers,” said his mother. John looked surprised. “What do you mean?” Think about I,” replied his mother. “You have a digital clock radio. What controls it? Think about the heater in our car. Remember what the salesclerk said about it? And what about the thermostat on our furnace? What controls that? You are more a part of the computer age than you think.” What does "computer age" mean? Roses are red, Violets are blue. Sugar is sweet, And so are you! The Properties of Equality state that in order for an equation to remain true, the same operation must be done to BOTH sides of the equation! His head was spinning with ideas!
