  2. Adding Heading Styles 1) Select the Styles Dialog Option 3) Check “Turn on Headings” 2) Select the OPTIONS

  3. Another way to add HEADING Styles that are not “Turned on” (1) Select Change Styles Dialog 3) Recommend 4) Select STYLE and then <SHOW> (2) Manage Styles

  4. Adding Navigation Pane to Ribbon or QAT • The NAVIGATION PANE Display Option is under the [VIEW] Tab of the WORD Ribbon or you could customize your QAT or your own Ribbon Tab

  5. Defining Paragraph LevelsUsing BYLAWS.docx • Set Article I to be Header 1 • Since HEADER1 is not Centered, use the Paragraph Center option. • Set Section1 to be Header 2 • Use the Format Painter to set all the ARTICLES to Header1 • Highlight Article I • Double Left Click the <Format Painter>. • Paint the other Article numbers, (II, III, IV, V) • Use the Format Painter to set Sections to Header2 • Notice the Navigation Pane changes.

  6. Using the Navigation Pane 1) Can Expand or Compress Sections 2) Can Drag and Drop Sections 3)Can be used with the FIND Command to identify sections that contain the TARGET Example: FIND: Director Article
