  2. Stop Falling: Start Saving Lives and Money Age UK is calling on all those responsible to work together to improve access to falls prevention services. Elderly fallers account for 10% of all 999 calls to the Welsh Ambulance Service. Hip fractures alone cost over £2.3bn per year. Evidence shows that falls prevention services are cost effective and can make substantial savings in NHS spending.
