  4. Course Schedule: • Lecture Time:Tuesday(10:30-12:20)

  5. Course Objectives: • Defining relationships which coexist between tourism and transportation. • Understanding the framework that provides a means of understanding how tourists interact with transportation. • Learning the different modes of transport used by tourists (e.g., air travel by scheduled or charter service, sea travel using ferries or cruise ships) • Recognizing the various land-based transports including the car, train, coach, motor caravan, motorbike and bicycle.

  6. Procedures Used: • Class Discussions and Activities • Reports & Presentations

  7. Weighing of Assessment: • * The industry internship certification= 20 • * Attendance = 10 • * Lecture Participation = 10 • * Submitted report= 15 • * Submitted report= 15 • * The report presentation= 30

  8. Attendance: • Absence (excused or unexcused) should not exceed 25% of classes. • Students exceeding 25% absence in a given course are denied from completing the course and receive a (DN)grade (0.00%) on their official transcripts. • Attendance is given 10% from the total marks, 5% will be given on the lectures and 5% will be given on the tutorial.

  9. Warnings: • 1st Warning=absence “2” times • 2nd Warning=absence “4” times • Denial=absence “5” times
