Why use PowerPoint? • Digital Natives (today’s students) tend to get bored and they have a NEED for to be WOWed. • Digital Natives like and use technology. • A teacher who uses creative technology tools, gains credibility and shows students that he/she can teach them the way THEY like to be taught which increases engagement and learning.

  8. Non-Core teachers don't have to worry about TAKs because they don’t teach TAKs!

  10. Non-Core Classes & TAKs • Non-Core teacher DO teach TAKs! • Non-Core classes are where students find the “real life” – applications and uses for what they are learning in their core classes. • Non-Core teachers reinforce the importance of what core teachers teach for TAKs.
