  22. His Throne And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness. Isaiah 16:5

And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saithefei, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of efei: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more.   26. At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of efei; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of efei, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart. Jeremiah 3:17

  27. His Throne • The Ark is no longer the focus of worship in Jerusalem • It will be replaced by the Throne of efeias all nations shall be gathered to it • (The Ark and Mercy Seat were two separate objects in the Scripture)

  28. And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. Revelation 20:7,8

  29. Gog and Magog…Again? • This prophecy of Ezekiel concerning Gog and Magog cannot be identified with the prophecy in Rev 20:7-10 for three reasons: • The former takes place before the Kingdom is established on earth; the latter after this Kingdom • Also, in Ezekiel the invasion comes only from the north, but in Revelation it comes from the ‘four quarters of the earth’ • Furthermore, the rebellion of Gog and Magog and their destruction in Rev 20:7-10 marks the ushering in of the eternal state (Rev 20:11-15); but in Ezekiel it is preliminary to the Millennial Kingdom on earth

  30. Gog and Magog…Again? • This view also fails to answer the problem of the seven months and seven years • This earth is done away with soon after the invasion mentioned in Revelation, not allowing any time (or place!) for seven months of burial or seven years of burning

  31. Gog and Magog…Again? • It seems most likely that Gog and Magog are references to rulers (Gog) and people (Magog) who follow after Satan (he will “gather them together”) • Satan’s function in the final rebellion is much like that of the three unclean spirits which went forth to gather the kings of the earth to the Campaign of Armageddon(Rev 16:13-16)

  32. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from Elohimout of heaven, and devoured them. Revelation 20:9

  33. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Revelation 20:10

  34. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. Revelation 20:11 For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. John 5:22-23

  36. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before Elohim; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. Revelation 20:12

  41. Key Questions • What happens when you die? • Is there really an “afterlife”? • What is heaven like? • Is there really a “hell”? • What is the nature of • Eternity? • The “Reality” we find ourselves in?

Contradictory Findings • Among Born-Again Christians: • 10% believe that people are reincarnated after death • 29% claim it is possible to communicate with the dead • 50% contend that a person can earn salvation based upon good works • Many believe there are multiple options for gaining entry into heaven

Contradictory Findings • Atheists and agnostics also confused • 50% Every person has a soul; Heaven and Hell exist; and that there is life after death • 12% Believe accepting gsfei Messiah probably makes life after death possible • Labels are not descriptive • Evidences the adoption of simplistic views from novels, movies, etc.

There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; Luke 16:19-22

  48. And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. Luke 16:23-25
