  6. Funding Needs • In order to execute this event, we need to pay for: • Audiovisual equipment at the Forum • Table-top exhibits at the Kick-off • Facilitator for the Forum • Snacks, beverages for the Forum • Promotional / advertising materials • In addition, there are several “nice-to-haves” that would enhance the participant experience and the overall effectiveness of the event. • Total expenses are projected between $10,000 and $30,000. • As primary sponsors, the S3G committees are being asked to provide the major funding component for the event. • Also, the Planning Group is working with the ACS Development Office to identify corporate sponsors that could defray some of the expenses. American Chemical Society

  7. The “Ask” • Please work with your committee chair and staff liaison to confirm how much financing that your committee can contribute to this event. • While each committee budget varies, and cost-cutting has put pressure on all of them, the event needs your contributions to be successful. • Please confirm your contributions with Bob Rich before Friday, December 18. • Thank you for your commitment to building the Society’s sustainability program portfolio.
