Four TA options that address the SHSAS update process (cont.) • State Train-the-Trainer - to train state personnel who will assist local jurisdictions • Length: 2 days • Availability: July 1 - August 1, 2003 • Jurisdiction Assessment - provide direct assistance to local jurisdictions on any aspect of the assessment • Length: 1.5 - 2 days • Availability: August 1 - October 1, 2003 Number of Deliveries: combination of 5 deliveries per state Technical Assistance

  4. Four TA options that address the SHSAS update process (cont.) • State Strategy - to help states synthesize the local jurisdictional data to update state strategy • Length: 2 days • Availability: October 1 - December 1, 2003 Number of Deliveries: 1 per state Technical Assistance

Requesting/Processing of TA • All requests made through SAA • SAA requests TA through ODP/CSID • Request referred to State and Local Division Program Manager • Program Manager and SAA discuss request • Program Manager to “triage” the request • Provides TA personally • Refers request to TEEX • TEEX and SAA develop work plan, timeline, and specifics on TA • TEEX, and if possible Program Manager, provide TA Technical Assistance
