  1. Yap Tips Daily Tidbits From Tidbits to YapTips Engaging Students with Yammer Yap Tips originated from 3 x 5 index cards carried by Melissa Schwartz, in the clinical setting. She walked the halls quizzing students. These 3 x 5 cards transformed into Daily Tidbits she placed on her clinical Blackboard site. Bob Green, the lead faculty for undergraduate OB nursing encouraged Melissa to post these Daily Tidbits on the main class BlackBoard site for all the OB students. Melissa Schwartz MSN, RN, Allison Hope MA Bob Green MSN, RN In the Spring of 2010 the undergraduate OB nursing course became ‘Yammerized’. Students were able to Yap questions to the instructor during class. In the Fall of 2010 Allison Hope created an OB course Yammer community. OB Students are now Yappping among themselves transforming the class Yammer community into a student driven discussion board where they can exchange knowledge about class and OB topics in general. In the Fall of 2010 the Daily Tidbits were moved from BlackBoard to the class Yammer community. They can now receive their daily ‘crumbs of knowledge’ via their email or cell phone.
