  2. 8th Grade • Be prepared and on time for class • Bring your AR book to homeroom everyday • Locker Times • Before homeroom • Before lunch • At the end of the day • No food or drink is permitted outside the cafeteria • No Electronic Devices • Turn off your cell phones before homeroom or they will be confiscated • 3 Strike • No foul language

  3. Handouts • Emergency Cards • Make sure your parent signed the inside and back • PG-13 permission slips • Computer Contracts • You can’t use a computer in class if you don’t turn in a computer contract • Lunch Forms • Student Handbook • Calendars

  4. Code of Conduct • Get the code of conduct • Sign next to your name indicating you received the code of conduct

  5. Lockers • Get into groups of two • Raise your hand when you have found a locker partner • I will give you your locker number and combination. • Go put your things in your locker • Remember to keep all the things you need before lunch • Return to homeroom when your things are in your locker

  6. Schedules • Pass out blank schedule template • Pass out schedules • Once you get your schedule fill in the blank template • Fill in A& BDay • Per. 1 and Per. 5 Math are the same class • Block Schedule- you will have Math & ELA everyday

  7. Passes • Sacred time is the first 10 minutes of class and the last 15 minutes of class • You need a pass to take an AR quiz and to go to the library • Unless you have a pass prior to coming to homeroom, you are not allowed to leave homeroom for any reason • Make sure you get an absent slip prior to homeroom • There are no bathroom privileges during homeroom

  8. New Classrooms • Top floor is eighth grade • Middle level is still seventh grade • Bottom floor is sixth grade

  9. Breakfast • If you are late to class because you were in breakfast you must have a signed pass with the time you left breakfast on the pass. • You have 3 minutes from the time your pass was given to you to go to your locker and get to homeroom • After 3 minutes you will be marked as late

  10. Dress Code Tops • Any solid color golf or polo shirts • Sweaters • V-neck or crewneck • No shrugs • Color: Dark blue, black, gold or tan • NO HOODIES

  11. Dress Code Bottoms • Pants • Dockers style • No cargo, corduroys, skinnies • Color: Dark blue, black, or tan • Shorts • Knee length only • No cargos • Color: Dark blue, black, or tan • Skirts • To the knee or longer • Color: Dark blue, black, or tan

  12. Dress Code Footwear • Any color sneaker/shoe • No Slides, Slippers, Moccasins • Socks and stockings must be a solid color • Must have a back

  13. Miscellaneous • Undershirts and camisoles must not show • No long sleeves worn under short sleeved shirts • All clothing must fit properly • No sag and drag or rolled pant legs • No hats • No distracting or unsafe jewelry • No bags • No holes or ripped seams in any clothes

  14. Fire Drill • Do not leave class unless there is an announcement that states to evacuate the building • We are to go out the emergency exit door and go around the building to the soccer field. • I will be taking attendance on the soccer field and if you are not in line you will be written up for a cut. • After we return to the building, I will be taking attendance again. • You have 3 minutes to return to class or you will be written up for a cut.
