ASSOCIATION • Membership (refer to Constitution) • Maximum number of 30 persons, who are either parents of current students or members of staff. • Responsibilities (refer to Constitution) • Elect Board members at AGM. • Vote on resolutions affecting the Association. • No powers to direct Board members. Directive Consultative / Advisory • BOARD • Membership (refer to Constitution) • 5 elected by Association • 2 elected by College • BM and EM (non voting) • Responsibilities (refer to Constitution) • Determine the strategic direction of the school as a corporate entity. • Appoint and monitor the performance of the BM and EM • Provides the framework under which the BM and EM manage the school. • Ensure compliance with corporate law (Director’s liability). • BOARD SUBCOMMITTEES • Membership • As determined by the Board. • Responsibilities • Delegated authority to manage or advise on specific functions, and make recommendations to the Board. • Include Finance and Marketing Committees, Employment Relations Group and Appraisal Committee. • BUSINESS MANAGER • Responsibilities • Company Secretary • Delegated by Board to manage statutory obligations. • Make recommendations to the Board in respect to business matters. • Implements the business strategy ratified by the Board. • EDUCATION MANAGER • Responsibilities • Delegated by Board to manage statutory obligations. • Make recommendations to the Board in respect to matters of pedagogy. • Implements the education strategy ratified by the Board. • FACULTY • Membership • All staff • Role • - ? • EDUCATION MANAGEMENT TEAM (EMT) • Membership • BM, EM and Chair of College • Role • Consultative to school management COLLEGE Membership Open to all staff. Role - Pedagogical, spiritual and artistic focus. - Advises management but has no decision powers. - Role documented in Role of the College as the Cultural Heart of the School.
