    1. The Amazing Animal cell!!

    2. Why are Animal Cells so Amazing?

    3. Cells can determine: How productive cattle will be. How meat tastes! Why animals get sick.

    4. CELLS CAN SPECIALIZE!!

    5. Amazing characteristics of cells! They are the smallest unit of a living system. They all hold the blueprints of how an animal is put together. c. They are vital to all life functions. d. They can reproduce!! e. They can change the physical form of an animal. Good traits and bad.

    6. There are basically two cell types Eukaryotic cells (membrane bound) Prokaryotic cells (before nucleus)

    7. A Prokaryote Cell Single-celled organisms Lacks internal structures Example: Bacteria

    8. A Eukaryote Cell Has internal membrane- bound structures called organelles. The largest organelle is the Nucleus, which contains the cell’s DNA. May be made of one or many cells. Makes up most of all living cells.

    9. How big are animal cells?

    11. Cell sizes range from 200 micrometers…

    12. 200 micrometers

    13. 200 micrometers

    14. 20 micrometers

    15. 20 micrometers

    16. 200 nanometers

    17. To 20 nanometers

    18. How did scientists discover cells? Using Microscopes!! Instrument developed by 16th century Anton van Leeuwenhoek.

    19. CELL Theory states: All organisms are composed of one or more cells. The cell is the basic unit of organization of all organisms. All cells come from pre-existing cells.

    21. Let’s go and look at some cells!!
