  4. Socioeconomic Status • At Sycamore High School, 54.7% of the student body receives free/reduced lunch.

  5. Sycamore High School’s Math Department Needs…. • Increase end-of-course math testing scores while increasing graduation rates. • Increase math scores on college entrance exams such as the ACT and SAT. • Introduce students to the programs and software they will encounter as they further their education and/or move into the workforce.

  6. Goals • Raise end-of-course math testing scores by4% by the end of 2012. • Establish a math lab in our school. • Obtain necessary resources for daily use inside the math classrooms.

Web 2.0 Tools • Podcasts and Vodcasts: • We can create audio/video files explaining topics that we can archive. • We can record the introduction of a lesson and give it to our students ahead of class. • National Library of Virtual Manipulatives • We can more actively involve students. • We can help students visualize relationships and applications.
