  1. Inside Insight 1 High Performance, Manufacturing Volume 5.4 • Lean Manufacturing Edition • Insight 1, Incorporated • 214-244-4959 What is a software agent? A software agent is like a person who can sense, analyze and act as things happen in real-time. The scripts define the actions of the agents as things occur. Agents have access to data and knowledge, and like stock traders they yell at each other to ensure everyone knows what issues are working and what problems must be solved Once the process mapping is complete, Insight 1 helps you write clear effective work procedures, methods and checklists that will consistently and efficiently execute your processes. These easy to understand procedures become the basis for your production automation effort. The process maps give you a visual picture of all your production planning, material flow and production smoothing processes. In Step 2, we develop the real-time adaptive system using software scripts to tell Software Agents what to do to automate your production procedures. The core agent software has been proven in over three years of demanding transaction processing. What is the secret to keeping customers in today’s very demanding environment? Continuing to improve your production processes to achieve more efficiency and flexibility is Step #1. Using software which can react in real time to what is happening with your customers and on your production floor is Step #2 If you want to build an Adaptive Real-time Production Planning and Execution System…. You start with Insight 1 and Step #1. In Step 1, we help you define and map all your production processes to eliminate gaps, disconnects, waste and underground processes. Every process is constantly checked for relevance, effectiveness and contribution. This creates an environment of continuous refinement and improvement. Only when the production process design is very efficient and cost effective, should you think about automation! Agents mimic the behavior of people except they work 24 hours per day and love pressure! Agents monitor your current ERP data, production events and signals and suggest real-time changes to your workflow. Agents can sense, analyze and proactively react to changing data. They make decisions based on knowledge, constraints and the rules for each agent. Insight 1’s High Performance Production Systems Please Call For More Information 972-991-1122  2003 Insight 1, Inc.
