  5. What are common problems with the current schedule? 97 minute block is too long. Classes in a 6 or 7 period day are not long enough and too much time is wasted on class changes. It is difficult to address all learners’ needs.

  6. What If We Could Correct Most Problems While the 5 block day may not work for everyone, it has the potential to solve some of our major issues. It offers ways to help advanced students, struggling students, and average students. Students have the potential to earn 4.5 credits each semester. It will help improve grade level promotion and graduation rate.

  7. 5th Block Schedule The 5th Block Schedule allows for a variety of classes that would otherwise be difficult if not impossible to offer. It is a schedule that will help your struggling students, your high achieving students, as well as average students. It will allow us to offer enrichment as well as remediation classes as we all face proration and uncertain times.

  8. What will your student take during 5th block? Student’s 5th block will be determined by the type of diploma or program they are taking. Examples: IB Electives AP Enrichment Courses Grad Exam Remediation ACT/SAT test prep Math Enrichment Reading Readiness AND … a few others
