Fast ForWordby Scientific Learning

A program for academic intervention for struggling students that was developed by neuroscientist with a foundation in Brain Based Learning.

The program retrains the brain by creating new neuro-pathways and developing four foundational learning skills common to all academic areas: Memory, Attention, Perception, Sequencing.

  • MCHS Piloted Fast Forword in 2010-11

  • Students were selected who had multiple risk factors for dropping out of school and not passing the GHSGT

  • 53 MCHS 11th graders completed the year in the program

  • Of the 53 students completing the year, 37 students or 70% passed the graduation test!

  • These students will graduate with a High School Diploma!
