  2. Ethnos = pueblo o nación • Se refiere a la población humana en la cual los miembros se identifican entre ellos, ya sea por una base real o presunta genealogía y ascendencia común o por otros lazos históricos.

  3. Están unidos por prácticas culturales, de comportamiento, lingüísticas o religiosas comunes.

  4. Indígenas

  5. Ciudadanos asumidos étnicamente como indígenas.

  6. 2° artículo constitucional. • Mexico es una nación pluricultural. • Existe una Comisión Nacional de los Pueblos Indígenas (CDI, antes INI). • Hay 12 millones de indígenas en el país (11% de la población).

  7. Población • Hay 53 pueblos indígenas con más de 62 lenguas distintas, según la CDI. • Dichas lenguas se consideran lenguas nacionales según la constitución.

  8. Se distinguen por: • Lengua • Economía • Educación • Rasgos físicos • Tradiciones • Arte • Cultura • Creencias • Región festividades • Alimentación • Usos y costumbres
