  2. 1. Insert USB Drive • Insert the USB Drive you would like to format into a USB Port on the computer.

  3. 2. Locate The USB Drive • Click start then click My Computer.

  4. 3. Formatting the USB Drive • Locate the USB Drive in My Computer and right click on it.

  5. 4. Formatting the USB Drive Continued • Select the format option.

  6. 5. Formatting the USB Drive Continued • Selecting format will bring up this option box. Tick the box next to the quick format if you want to do a quick format, but quick formats sometimes do not get rid of the problem. In this example we are going to do a full format so there is not need to tick the box.

  7. 6. Formatting the USB Drive Continued • Click start.

  8. 7. Finalizing Formatting • A warning will appear and inform you that when the USB Drive is formatted it will erase and data from the drive. Click OK to move onto the next step.

  9. 8. Formatted USD Drive • When formatting is complete this box will appear. USB Drive has been formatted and all errors have been removed. Click OK to finish formatting
