  2. Giza • The pyramids of Giza were built after Khufu. The pharaoh of Egypt. During the 2500’s (B.C.). They built it because Khufu wanted to show how great he was.

  3. Saqqara • The Saqqara pyramid was built as a necropolis. It was a tomb for mummies. It also a burial ground.

  4. Lisht • It was built after Amenemhat the first and his son. It is believed to be in the vicinity of the oasis of Fayyum. It’s 100 Kilometers south of Cairo.

  5. Medium • It was built for Huni. He was the last pharaoh of the third-dinesty. It was built in different stages.

  6. Hawara • The pyramid was built after Amenemhet III. The last powerful leader in the 12th dinesty. Was also a burial ground.
