Dorner Middle School • Approx. 800 students drawn from entire Ossining UFSD (Unincorporated Ossining, Village of Ossining and portion of Village of Briarcliff Manor) • Business Districts • North State Road • Croton Avenue • Waterfront • Louis Engel Waterfront Park • Hudson River and Croton River Shoreline

  5. Town Police Department • Current headcount: 17 • Chief of Police (1) • Lieutenant (1) • Sergeant (4) • Detective (2) • Police Officer (8) • P/T Police Officer (1)

  6. Town Police Department 8 Police Officers and 4 Sergeants assigned to patrol duties. • Intended patrol deployment: • Days – 2 PO’s, 1Sgt. • Eves – 2 PO’s, 1 Sgt. • MN – 1 PO, 1 Sgt. • Sgt. on Desk with PO’s each on patrol in car.

Conclusion • meet or exceed the current number of police officers on patrol; • provide around-the-clock first-line supervision of its police officers; • have fully integrated access to the broad range of support services provided by the Department of Public Safety; • continue the School Resource Officer program, and • provide for the retention of rank and relative seniority for Town police department personnel transferring to the Department of Public Safety.
