  2. The role of data Amount of data grows exponentially. Putting data to good use is essential • To stay ahead of competitors (profit sector); • To provide services at level requested by public/govern (non-profit). Proper use of data • Helps find answers to strategic changes.

  3. Current situation w.r.t. use of data Huge investments in • data warehousing, • business intelligence, • corporate performance management, • management reporting; • in tools, hardware, training…. But where’s the impact…?
