  1. Anne Frank By: Hannah Vogel

  2. Q: How do you suppose many dealt with the internal conflict of being a refugee and deliberately breaking laws every day in order to survive Answer: I think the Franks and Van Daans handled it okay because they are basically taking everything they learned throughout their lives and tossing out the window because they are breaking so many laws in order not to be caught. For example they are hiding and the Dutch and Green Police are telling nobody to hide and come out and they are dismissing that in order to live. I think they were struggling with the fact that they knew their family members outside of hiding could be going through a lot worse of they could be dead and I think that’s what they were struggling with the most.

  3. Q: Who from our story illustrates this internal conflict best and why? Answer: I think Mrs. Frank did because in the movie she was frozen because she was so worried about her family. I think Mrs. Frank is the best example because in the text Anne didn’t say much about internal conflict in anyone else even thought I’m sure everyone else could have been dealing with it. Her mom was probably the most obvious because in was very sad and unsteady throughout the whole movie and story.

  4. Q: Why is this portrayed differently in the form of media? Answer: In the different types of media they express the internal conflict differently. For example in the picture book they don’t express any internal conflict because it’s mostly information about the war and a brief description of the Franks. But in the movie they expresses a lot of internal conflict because everyone is fighting and you get to see into their world. While in the novel there is also a lot of internal conflict it is supposed to describe Anne Frank and her family. In the play you can see a lot of internal conflict because you are presenting the story to a audience.

  5. Q: What does this difference change in the story? Answer: It changes the story because, for example in the picture book there is no example of internal conflict and it is more informational than entertaining. because in the video it has more of an inside on her emotions and life but in picture book it tells the basic facts about her life. It portrays her differently because in the picture book it described her as a fantastic writer and she was in hiding for 2 years, but in the play it had more of her feelings and although some parts were made up. In the novel it also described everything about Anne because they were her original words.
