  17. Incorporating Teamwork • Agency of Health Care Research and Quality • TeamSTEPPS • http://teamstepps.ahrq.gov/abouttoolsmaterials.htm • Being implemented into the clinical settings statewide. 22. Finding time… • What are MSCF Contract Days? • How many are available each year? • What are Professional Responsibilities? • Does this include NLNAC work?

  23. MSCF Contract Days • Full time work year: • 171 days over 2 semester • 171 days= class days, test days, & duty days(per contract language) • Example in 2011-2012: • 163 class days + test days + 8 duty days • Our college has 2 administratively assigned duty days • 6 duty days per year for faculty work • (varies college to college)

  24. MSCF Contract • (class days, test days, and duty days assigned by the administration). • “Days not identified for these purposes shall be utilized by instructors for activities necessary for the successful accomplishment of their professional responsibilities” (MSCF Contract 2009-2011, Article 10, Section 1, pp. 30-31). • NLNAC is a professional responsibility! • That gives you 5 to 6 days a year!!!

  25. Template • Feel free to use this • Feel free to make changes as needed • June Larson, my faculty, and I are hoping to be able to present at the National NLN conference in Orlando in September.
