  2. Fedora Live • Fedora Live is a version of Fedora that will run off a DVD • We will use Fedora Live in class to explore the Linux desktop and run commands as the superuser (similar to the administrator on a Windows system)

  3. Vader • Vader is a Linux system that you can log into using ssh (e.g., PuTTY) • You will use vader in labs and to complete many of your homework assignments
