  3. Intellectual Property Rights (Pirating) • International software piracy, a major concern for intellectual property owners, is considered in the context of intellectual property rights laws, national cultural landscape, and economic environment.

  4. This study relates intellectual property rights protection, cultural factors, and wealth, to software piracy rates by country. Intellectual property protection is of major importance in modern economic affair. • To evaluate the impact of legal and regulatory environments, the World Economic Forum surveyed business leaders on the level of intellectual property protection in their country. Regarding national culture, five (5) dimensions identified by Hofstede are considered. • To evaluate the economic impacts, a country's gross domestic product (GDP) per capita at purchasing power parity is utilized. All three factors were found to be related to software piracy. Managerial and policy implications of this study are discussed.

  5. Pornography using the internet • Internet pornography’s accessibility, affordability and anonymity have helped the porn industry reach a whole new level. • Porn has been normalized to the point where most men are not hiding their liking of porn, but embracing it. Some women have even become addicted to viewing porn on the web. • Pornography and relationships

  6. Internet pornography hurts marriages. Wives feel betrayed by their husband’s need to go online to be sexually satisfied. • Nine months after her wedding, Donna found out her husband never stopped viewing online porn as he had promised. • She was stunned and hurt. Describing her feelings about it she said, “I blamed myself–I wasn’t attractive enough.”

  7. Pyramiding scam using the internet • The pyramid scheme looks very realistic yet complicated and it's easy to trick people and to tell them that they can make lots of money fast. • The scammers go to great length to make the pyramid scheme look realistic.

  8. Gaming or lottery • Internet gaming or e-gaming refers to a gambling activity that is played on or through a computer connected to the Internet.

  9. Typically a gaming web site may be accessed by anyone in the world with a computer equipped to access the Internet. • Exceptions are sites that may control or restrict access to certain players, for example, those of its citizens or, in some cases, the residents of foreign countries.
