  1. Mission To Moon Group 5: Raka, Refy, Kenta, Daffa 6-7C

  2. BACKGROUND PROBLEM • In the earth there use to be many energy resources, for example like fuels, electricity, and gases. But because of the people in the world likes to waste energy resources the world is running out of energy resources. Our mission is to find helium-3 on moon, because the energy resources on earth is starting to ran out.

  3. PROJECT FOCUS QUESTION Why do we need to explore moon for energy resources.

  4. HYPOTESIS Because moon has helium-3 that can be change to be the new energy resources on earth.

  5. THEORY AND FACTS

  6. Cause And Effect the problems on Earth. Cause The people on Earth is wasting too much energy for ? without any good reason Effect The Earth is running our of energy resources What will happen?

  7. About Moon • The moon is the only natural satellite of earth, and also the fifth largest moon in the solar system. • Resources: http://www.universetoday.com/60072/what-is-a-moon/

  8. Compare And Contrast Earth -Earth is already running out of energy because the people in the planet is using them to much without a god reason Moon -Moon have a strongly unused energy resources called the helium-3 Similarities They both have they’re own type of energy resources, for example on Earth we have gas, fossil fuels, and electricity. And on moon they have an unused energy resources called helium-3

  9. About Helium-3 • Helium-3is a light, non-radioactive isotope of helium with two protons and one neutron. It is rare on Earth, and it is sought for use in nuclear fusion research. The abundance of helium-3 is thought to be greater on the Moon (embedded in the upper layer of regolith by the solar wind over billions of years), though still lower in quantity (28 ppm of lunar regolith ishelium-4 and from one ppb to 50 ppb is helium-3), than the solar system's gas giants (left over from the original solar nebula) • Resources: http://ares.jsc.nasa.gov/humanexplore/exploration/exlibrary/docs/isru/06energy.htm

  10. How to get energy from Helium 3? • Two types of fusion reactions make use of Helium-3 to produce clean energy. The first uses deuterium (deuterium is hydrogen with a neutron) reacting with Helium-3, to produce helium and a proton. The second type of reactions uses two atoms of helium-3 to create helium and two protons. The protons created during the reaction are the crown jewel of Helium-3 fusion. • Resources: http://io9.com/5908499/could-helium-3-really-solve-earths-energy-problems

  11. Mission Timeline Resources: http://spacekids.co.uk/spacehistory/

  12. Mission To Moon • So we make a solution, that is to go to the moon and find helium-3 to be the new energy resources on earth On our mission we will find a couple of helium-3 on the Moon that will be turn into a new energy resources on Earth. Our purpose to do this mission is because on Earth we are running out of energy resources that we can use for the future. This mission can be a good thing to human in the future, because they don’t need to worry anymore about running out of energy resources.

  13. Conclusion • So in our conclusion, we found that in the moon we can find many energy resources like helium-3 that can we use for the new energy resources on earth. We found that the hypothesis that we wrote is true, because on Earth we are running out of energy, so we found some places that we can find new energy resources, then we found that in the Moon we can found a couple of helium-3 that can be turn into an energy resources.
