  5. Home Page Let’s say we have a nursing student researching COPD. We’ll use Basic Search as Keyword. Search term - COPD

  6. Results Screen • Result Screen for search on “COPD” • Tabbed results are aligned with Nursing Process • Search found Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, the proper term for COPD • Starts with Diseases and Conditions tab for an overview of the condition

  7. Assessments Tab Results Assessments: This tab will list ways to gather subjective, objective, and patient assessment data when such information is relevant to your search.

  8. Assessments “Thorax and Lungs” document - Document Table of Contents makes navigation simple - Helpful photos/illustrations/videos are common

  9. Diagnostics Tab Results Diagnostics: The Diagnostics tab will list various means of gathering objective data from a patient beyond the physical assessment. These entries will provide overviews of diagnostic tests including rationales, patient preparation, normal and abnormal results.

  11. Interventions Tab Results The Interventions tab will list overviews of basic actions nurses might take to care for and monitor a patient with COPD.

  13. Drugs Tab Results The Drugs tab will display monographs for the drugs used to treat the diagnosis and the drugs that are contraindicated in some way for a diagnosis.

  15. Care Plans Tab Care Plans put all the actions needed to care for a patient with COPD in context - NRC licensed 3 books of sample care plans from Delmar, a leader in nursing education
