  1. Application Performance &Availability with vCloud Hybrid Service and KEMP Technologies New York: 631-345-5292 • Limerick: +353-61-260-101 • Hannover: +49-511-367393-0• Singapore: +65-62222429

  2. Application Considerations for Hybrid Cloud Application Considerations • How to keep failover low touch and simple between the public and private parts of the hybrid cloud • How to route clients to the best location for their request when applications are active across hybrid cloud boundaries • How to manage delivery of intelligent L7 services required by many applications as they move outside the data center • How to optimize the deployment of multi-tenant applications on a shared set of resources Hybrid Cloud Public Cloud Private Cloud

  3. Meeting the Needs of Apps Deployed in Hybrid Cloud How it Works • Virtual LoadMasters (VLMs) are deployed in private cloud and vCHS • Application service FQDNs are delegated to VLMs • Client requests are received by VLM and directed to either on premise or vCHS hosted services based on policy • Virtual Services hosted on the Virtual LoadMaster that the client is directed to connects the client to the best server target for their request based on local health checking and rules after providing L7 application services including pre-authentication, SNI, SSL offload, IPS, content switching, session persistence, etc. • In the event of a single machine or a catastrophic outage, all client requests are directed only to the cloud target with available and healthy infrastructure

  4. Solution Benefits Simplify disaster recovery and ensure availability Enable the delivery of multi tenant applications Reduce needed modification to applications • With a holistic solution providing application high availability as well as managing namespaces for accessing these applications across cloud boundaries, required failover steps are minimized • Services such as SNI (server name indicator), intelligent content switching and edge security enable customers to securely and reliably deliver multi-tenant apps to their clients on a single set of hosted resources • By providing the same application delivery services available to on premise applications, Virtual LoadMaster running on vCHS reduces needed changes to applications as they migrate to vCHS to achieve the same service level

  5. To get a free trial license simply activate a copy of Virtual LoadMaster on vCHS and you will automatically be issued a 30 day evaluation. For customers already leveraging KEMP LoadMasters on premise as well as new customers, please contact your local KEMP partner for BYOL transfer and new deployment options. Visit KEMP Technologies in the vCloud Hybrid Service Marketplace or http://kemptechnologies.com/server-load-balancing-appliances/virtual-loadbalancer/vlm-download to get a free trial.
