Agriculture Curriculum GPS Conversion • The new pathway lessons are posted on the Agricultural Education website: www.gaaged.org • The lessons were also distributed to the teachers at the GVATA Summer Teacher’s Conference • Two Pathways in Agriculture have been completed: • Agriscience • Plants Science/Horticulture

Agriculture Curriculum GPS Conversion • Work continues on the five remaining Pathways: • Animal Science, Forestry, Agricultural Mechanics, Agribusiness, & Veterinary Technology • Middle School Agriculture courses will be converted and reviewed this fall with the support of the CTAE Resource Network • Work should be completed this year & distributed to the teachers utilizing the Ag-Ed website

Agricultural Education Local Accountability • The CTAE Director of each school system can have access the Program of Work and Monthly Reports for the Agriculture teachers in their system • Send a request for a login ID and password to: davidturner@gaaged.org • This request should be sent using your school email account to verify the sender’s request

Agricultural Education Career Development Events & the GPS • The Agricultural Education program offers a wide variety of Career Development Events in FFA to supplement the in-school instructional program • A document that links each CDE with the GPS is located on the Agricultural Education website: www.gaaged.org • THANK –YOU for supporting these FFA events

Georgia Ag-Ed National Recognition • The 82nd National FFA Convention will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 20 – 24, 2009. • Regina Holiday will complete a year of service as the southern region National FFA Vice President. Regina is from Laurens County. • Caroline Black (from Jackson County) will be the candidate from Georgia running for a National FFA Officer position.
