  3. The Re-designing Daily Occupations Programme – A method to reclaim balance in the everyday - in order to regain workability. How do I do that?

  4. The Re-designing Daily Occupations Programme (Initially) a work rehabilitation programme for women with stress-related diagnosesfocusing on work, everyday life and health

  6. Research Project 1 • Carried out in collaboration between Lund University, Region Halland and Social Insurance Offices in Halland • Research projects during a 2-year period • Approximately 50 participants with stress-related diagnoses • A 10 + 6-week program • Outcome compared with a control group

  7. Sample Women with stress-related diagnoses • Selected according to criteria from SIO • A stress-related diagnosis • Employment but difficulty returning in work, due to some sort of everyday-related problem

Aim After completing the program, participants shall have started a revision of their everyday lives for the benefit of increased working ability and health The participant shall have a clearer vision of what they want/need to pursue in order to continue job training or return to full or part-time work.

  9. What is the ReDO programme? • A ”course” • Work rehabilitation; in a group setting • Gives new perspectives and understanding of the everyday and it’s impact on health AND workability • Recognises the importance of family, administrative officers, employers and colleagues … etc.

Occupational self -analysis 5 weeks: Group meetings 2 days/week Tools and exercises for self-analysis Occupational self -analysis 5 weeks: Group meetings 2 days/week Tools and exercises for self-analysis Goals and strategies for change 5 weeks: Group meetings 2 days/week Guidance in setting goals and strategy developmentSeminar for relatives and colleagues and /or employer Implementing changes in patterns of daily occupations 6 weeks: Group meetings 3 days Job placement –individually-adjusted ReDO - 3 phases

Outcome of the ReDO program for women with stress-related disorders – a comparative study focusing on return to work • Research Project 1 Quasi-experimental study 42 women completed ReDO 42 women in a matched control group (age, diagnoses, time on sick leave, family situation and level of education) Measuring points: start, end, 6 and 12 months after end of intervention
