  2. Closing Out Your OJP/TYM 2010 Grants- Objective Today’s webinar is intended to provide you with tips to efficiently close out your federal grant.

  3. Closing Out Your OJP/TYM 2010 Grants- Deadlines • Grant year ends on September 30, 2011. • Final program reports are due October 5, 2011 (activity from 7/1/2011- 9/30/2011). • Final financial reports are due no later than Monday, October 31, 2011.

  4. Closing Out Your OJP/TYM 2010 Grants- Reporting Tips • Consult with your Grants Specialist to obtain the balance remaining on your grant. • Ensure you are current with your program and financial reporting. • Assess any budget changes in order to utilize your full grant award. • Let your Grants Specialist know if you are having difficulty utilizing all of your grant funds OR meeting the mentorship requirements.

Closing Out Your OJP/TYM 2010 Grants- Reporting Tips • All expenses must be expended or obligated by September 30, 2011. • Expenses submitted for pay periods including dates after September 30th will be prorated by your Grants Specialist. • Be mindful of invoices or service dates after September 30, 2011.

Closing Out Your OJP/TYM 2010 Grants- Reporting Tips • Submit final financial reports on or before October 31, 2011 to ensure full reimbursement of your grant award. • Financial reports received after October 31, 2011 may not be accepted. • Submit expenses in excess of your grant balance in the event there are unallowable expenses.

Closing Out Your OJP/TYM 2010 Grants- Reporting Tips • The standard review time for financial reports submitted is 3 weeks from date of receipt. • Your Grants Specialist will contact you as soon as the financial report is reviewed to let you know if he/she has questions or needs additional information. • You will receive a separate email from our department when payment has been requested.

Closing Out Your OJP/TYM 2010 Grants- Reporting Tips • Clubs should submit final financial reports with all supporting documentation by email to FGD@bgca.org or by mail with tracking or Federal Express to: Federal Grants Department Boys & Girls Clubs of America 1275 Peachtree Street, N.E. Atlanta, GA 30309-3506 • Clubs should submit final program/performance measures reports via the Boys & Girls Clubs Progress Reporting System found at http://bgca.onlinereporting.org

Scroll down to OJP/TYM 2010 Documents and Information and click on the desired link.

  10. Closing Out Your OJP/TYM 2010 Grants- Reporting Tips • Grantees that close early and have met or exceeded all grant requirements may be candidates for additional grant dollars, if available. • Financial and programmatic performance will affect future grant selection.
