  1. Dear On behalf of the Parents of Exceptional Children (POEC), I invite you to participate as a raffle donor for our first annual golf tournament to be held Friday 24 September 2010, at Penderbrook Golf Course located in Fairfax VA. The event will allow you to reach about 200 tournament participants, and families and associations affiliated with POEC. Parents Of Exceptional Children (POEC) is a 501c3 tax exempt non-profit organization for parents of children with physical and developmental disabilities. POEC offers information and coordination on resources, services, and education to support parents, parent groups, and guardians who are raising a child with special needs. POEC provides education workshops, information materials, and peer support to families with exceptional children who have intellectual, learning, or physical disabilities, and/or special health care needs. The goal of POEC is to promote the active participation and contributions of special needs children and youth in their communities, to make sure their voices and success stories are heard. Funds raised by POEC are being used to promote the mission of the organization through such activities as a scholarship program, educational seminars, respite care, and inter-organizational initiatives. A copy of our IRS tax exempt letter is enclosed. We look forward to speaking with you in the near future and having you join us in making our tournament successful! If you have any questions about the event or POEC, please contact our Vice President and event coordinator, Lisa Roti, at 703-279-1627 (H), 703-625- 8044 (C), or Lisa@Roti.cc. Also, please visit our website at www.poec.org. Thank you, Sue Datoc President, POEC
