  3. Study Limits and Corridor Characteristics • Wealthy Street to I-196 • Mostly commercial and institutional uses • Carries local and through traffic (commuter route) • Pedestrian traffic can be significant, particularly near colleges Project Limits

Division Avenue Road Diet • Conversion from a 4/5 to 3 lane section • This involves reducing travelled way width to allow for: • Introduction of shared-use lanes • Increased on-street parking • Overall quality of life improvements • 1-year trial period • Converted solely through pavement markings • Study to determine if the change should kept, modified, or returned to its current state Project Limits

  5. Intent of Project • Crash/Speed Reduction • Increase on-street parking • Improved walkability and easier street crossing • Users feeling safer and more “comfortable” • Economic growth in adjacent businesses • Increased pedestrian and bicycle use
