Inclusion Development ProgrammeBESD • National Strategies: Dyslexia, Communication and Dyspraxia • Aim: To support schools and Early Years Settings through web-based materials over four years, which will include: • Teaching and Learning resources • Training materials • Guidance on effective classroom activities • Models of good practice for multi-disciplinary teams • Information about sources of more specialist advice.

Inclusion Development ProgrammeBESD • Essex • To support schools in their capacity to meet the needs of all their learners in order to: • narrow the gap • ensure achievement for all • ensure that overall standards in behaviour, attendance, progress and attainment in all schools continues to improve.

  4. “No one can do it alone” Partnership working between schools: Needs led locality based provision which responds to the diversity of need “We all have different needs requiring different solutions”

  5. Building Capacity “Thinking outside the box” Children’s Support Services (2008-1011)“If we carry on with what we are doing we will get the same results”!Remodelling: Behaviour Support and Attendance-getting to the point of need-schools

Supporting Schools: Listening and Acting Transferable models of good practice that are “needs led” and are underpinned by the SEAL agenda • Curriculum content, delivery and design • Resources-Essex specific • Exit, Entry and Transition • Approaches to teaching and learning- relationships, communication and reflection • Flexible staffing structures • Systems that link learning, behaviour, attendance and safeguarding to whole school provision developments.
