  2. Don’t forget we never Stem-change in the nosotros or vosotros forms. There are 3 types of stem-changers: 1. e-ie pensar-pienso, piensas, piensa, pensamos, piensan 2. o-ue poder-puedo, puedes, puede, podemos, pueden 3. e-i servir-sirvo, sirves, sirve, servimos, sirven

  8. Para + infinitvo • “para” means “for” or “in order to” • Whenever “para” is followed by a verb, the verb is in the infinitive form (aka the –ar, -er, -ir form of the verb). • Example: Voy a la piscina paranadar. I am going to the pool in order to swim.

  9. La “a” personal • In spanish we use the “a” personal to differentiate or distinguish persons, groups of people or nouns that the speaker has humanized like pets. • Ex. Veo el perro • Vs. Veo a Lulu • We do not use the personal “a” with the verb tener
