Cottonbelt Senate Results • VA: Kaine (D) defeated former Senator Allen (R) for seat vacated by Webb (D) • FL: Nelson (D) re-elected • MS: Wicker (R) re-elected • MO: McCaskill (D) re-elected • TN: Corker (R) re-elected • TX: Cruz (R) elected to seat vacated by Hutchison (R) • NM: Heinrich (D) elected to seat vacated by Bingaman (D) • AZ: Flake (R) elected to seat vacated by Kyl (R) • CA: Feinstein (D) re-elected

Possible Changes in 113th Congress and Administration • Senate Ag Committee leaders unlikely to change; 2 new Democrats and 1 new Republican will be selected to replace departing members • Senate Appropriations Ranking Member could be Shelby (AL)—Cochran term-limited out of RM position by Caucus rules • Senate Ag Appropriations Subcommittee Chair could either be Johnson (SD) or Pryor (AR) –Kohl retired

Possible Changes in 113th Congress and Administration • No change expected in House Ag Committee leadership • Kaptur (OH) or Lowey (NY) likely to be new Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Committee- Dicks (WA) retired • Latham (IA) likely to Chair House Ag Appropriations Subcommittee- -Kingston term-limited by Caucus rule • If Vilsack does not continue as Secretary of Agriculture candidates could be: former Senators Lincoln or Conrad • Other likely Cabinet vacancies include USTR, State and possibly Transportation, EPA and Energy
