  1. R2E Point 5 mini safe room cooling / ventilation A. L. Perrot , 30th April 2013

  2. OPTIONS proposed on Friday 26th April (brainstorming EN/EL, EN/CV, GS/SE, MEF-INT, R2E team) Option 1: cooling ensured via apertures of 120 mm or 100 mm located at the bottom of the equipment (@ the level of the metallic structure of the safe room) along the whole safe room (18m); air pulsed from UTAs (?) located in UL557. Actions: - EN/MEF: show the corresponding models; - CE: check the feasibility, number of ducts and distance in between; - R2E: discuss the integration feasibility with GS/ASE-DI/ODH team; - CV: calculate the efficiency of such a cooling (UTAs located in UL557- machine side) Option 2: cooling = air pulsed below in the metallic structure from UTAs located in UL557; 2 additional ducts to be drilled in the wall between UL557/UL558 and UL557/CMs to ensure air arrival from UTAs; cables would arrive from top in between equipment in safe room to liberate as much as possible space below the equipment in the metallic structure. Actions: - EN/MEF: show the corresponding models; - CV: calculate the efficiency of such a cooling (UTAs located in UL557- machine side)

  3. OPTIONS proposed on Friday 26th April (brainstorming EN/EL, EN/CV, GS/SE, MEF-INT, R2E team) Option 3: Safe room moved as close as possible to its initial location (when position of the ducts was decided). Cooling ensured via primary solution proposed by CV. Actions: - MEF-INT: show the corresponding models; - CV: calculate the efficiency of such a cooling ; Option 4: Cooling ensured via lateral air pulsed from UL557 via a new duct to be drilled close to the safe room; need to relocate a vertical cable tray; UTAs located in UL557. Actions: - MEF-INT: show the models; - CV: calculate the efficiency of such a cooling ;
