In 2011 the Colorado Earthquake occurred in Denver and was one of the largest natural earthquakes that happened in Denver and affected it in over 100 years no one was killed or injured but there was a lot of damage to the town it self that happened. The earthquake started around midnight and went on for a while spreading all the way throughout the city.

  3. In 1973 their was a major snow storm in Denver, Colorado and a total of about 11.3 inches fell in downtown Denver. The wind was going 30-35 mph caused a lot of the snow and the storm lasted 2 days although, most of the wet and heavy snow fell on the first day of the storm. On the second day the temperature was 5 degrees and was a new record for the temperature because of how late in the season it was. 1973

  4. In 1999 their was a major wind storm that caused 20 million dollars of damage in Denver that damaged a few houses, cars, fences and a lot of other things. Roofs were torn off of houses and cars and trucks got broken or cracked windshields. Highways had to be closed for a while due to the damage. Winds reached up to 112 mph and the storm was very tragic for everyone in the city. Denver, CO

Big Thompson Canyon Flood • In 1976 the Big Thompson Canyon Flood occurred in Denver causing many people to leave the city and find some where else to go to for shelter away from the disaster even though the flood ended up killing about 145 people and caused a lot of damage to the city. The flood started off with a light rain and just got worse as the day went on. It wasn’t a good day for people to be touring the canyon and no one was expecting it to happen. When people escaped they ended up going to a new city to fish, and do other activities they enjoyed doing away from the bad flood and stayed their for a while before returning home. Many homes got damaged and about 7 people who died in it wernt found.
