  3. Mission Statement To develop a judgement free learning environment where trained staff can help students develop as independent learners and in particular learn mathematics and statistics required to perform to a high standard on their main programme of study

History • Faculty of Engineering project • Similar concerns in other Faculties • Pilot April-May 07 • Institutional grant plus SIGMA • LeTS and Departmental reps • Up-scaled Sept-Dec 07 • Anthony Rossiter appointed DLTD • full-time manager appointed (Feb 08) • Funding secured via Access Agreement (transition support & ongoing skills development)
