  2. What I have learnt • For term 2, we learnt Gymnastics and Netball. • I remember when we first started gymnastics, everyone was having a hard time making their routines. I remembered myself laughing at people when they fall down doing cartwheels. • We first started to learn vaulting by jumping on those spring boards, we tried to stand, roll and do many things we could in the air. After we had learnt the vaulting, we were more capable with making our own routines, because now we have an image of different kind of routine actions we did for vaulting and we was able to use them as much as possible. • I remember when we first started netball, we just heard netball is as similar as basketball. But, after we learnt those rules, we realized it wasn’t really like basketball. We wasn’t able to dribble the ball, not to move around with the ball, it was a game that needs a fast pass and quick reaction. • We paired up into positions who need to defend each other, and tried to chase each other as if we are defending each other to get the ball from the other player. We also tried to touch/ catch someone with the ball by just passing around really fast, but it was hard game to do because we were still not really experienced. After these experiences, we were able to use those skills in the real game.

  3. Learner Profile Links Thinker: For gymnastics it needed a lot of thinking. I spent time to make a very quick routine, as I missed 2 weeks of gymnastic lessons because of a big injury. Risk-taker: I think I was a risk-taker to do many different types of routines. Such as cartwheels and rolls, movements that were very hard and need a strong balance concentration. Creative: I was creative making those routines as I think it was a very eye-catching and esthetic performance routine when I watched over my routine video. Communication: For netball, we were communicating with each other, as it was team sports. The more we communicate the more accurate passes and shots we made. Knowledgeable: I think I was very knowledgeable with this netball lessons. For the netball assignments, I didn’t use any websites to actually help me except finding pictures, as I got a really high marks for that assignments.

  5. What I can do to improve • For Netball, I could be more reactive with the passes my teammates gave. I should be watching the ball and trying to get away from the defender who is trying to defend me. Also, we should give fast and a easy pass for the teammates to get. Fast to not let the other team get it, easy to let my teammates get the ball properly. • For gymnastics, I could add more jumps and rolls. Also, one thing that is very important that we could change directions, diagonal, forward, backwards, sideways. I could make a longer routine so that it looks very esthetic to our eyes.
