Brief Overview

Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) refers to any small mobile hand-held device that provides computing and information storage and retrieval capabilities for personal or business use, often for keeping schedule, calendars and address book information handy.

Several microfinance institutions (MFIs) worldwide are now using PDAs in their operations. In 2000, a MABS participant bank in Mindanao piloted the use of PDA for their daily and weekly collections.
