  2. Habitat Eastern black rhinos inhabit areas between grass lands and forests. They live in the southern part of Africa.

  3. Adaptation#1 Thick layered skin protects rhinos from sharp grasses and thorns. This helps rhinos to not get hurt by sharp grasses and thorns.

  4. Adaptation#2 A black rhino is able to pick up items with their upper lip. This helps them pick up their food.

  5. Adaptation#3 The eastern black rhino’s large ears rotate. This helps them by picking up sounds .

  6. Extra information Rhino skin harbors many external parasites, which are eaten by tick birds and egrets that live with the rhino. As a herbivorous browser, the black rhino eat leafy plants as well as branches, shoots thorny wood bushes and fruit. Young are prayed on by hyenas.
