  2. What is Twitter? • A way to tell people in 140 characters what’s going on • Instantly connects you to what's most important to you. Follow your friends, experts, favorite celebrities, and breaking news. • Find out what’s happening, right now, with the people and organizations you care about. www.mentalwealth.org.uk

  3. Other social media • Facebook – “what I’m doing” in words and photos for friends and family • Websites – give more detailed information, who what, when, where, why • Blog – a web diary about you or an issue/interest ‘what’s been going on’ www.mentalwealth.org.uk

  4. Twitter • A way of sending or receiving short messages (tweets) of only 140 characters to tell people about what is going on, e.g. I tweeted people about a jobs fair that was coming up. • Often the tweet contains a link to a website www.mentalwealth.org.uk

  5. Followers • You can follow i.e. receive tweets from people/organisations that you are interested in and other people can receive tweets from you if they are interested in what you are doing or what you are telling people about www.mentalwealth.org.uk
