  2. Students in the SASD will produce quality images and objects that effectively communicate and express ideas using varied media, techniques and processes. • Students in SASD will reflect upon the nature of art and meaning in art and culture. Content Standards

  3. Students willproduce quality art using complex problem-solving, individual style, technical skill of media and craftsmanship. • Students willdemonstrate and apply the elements and principles of design in the production of 2-D and 3-D compositions. Benchmarks

Color – primary, secondary, tertiary, complementary, neutral, triadic, tetradic, warm or cool. • Craftsmanship – presentable; professional in appearance • Technical Skill – ability to work with materials, tools, techniques effectively • Armature - a framework used by a sculptor to support a figure being modeled in a plastic material. • Sculpture in the Round – form; sculpture viewable from all angles. • Additive Method - the process of building out the different shapes by adding little pieces to the main structure • Subtractive Method - Subtractive sculpting is the opposite (carving/taking away from the main sculpture • Proportion - harmonious relation of parts to each other or to the whole.
