MASTERY OR LEARNING OBJECTIVE: SWBAT determine the characteristics and events of American slavery by watching a film clip from “Amistad” and taking notes on their film guide, and doing TPS about their notes.
SWBAT describe the characteristics and events of American slavery.
SWBAT take notes on the film “Amistad” with your film guide, and TPS the characteristics/events on your notes with a partner.
MASTERY OR LEARNING OBJECTIVE:SWBAT speculate on the differences between American slavery and the slavery in other countries by comparing their film/TPS notes on “Amistad” to their lecture notes, recording results on double bubble map, and discussing/recording results in groups of four.
SWBAT compare and contrast the differences between American slavery and slavery in other countries.
SWBAT speculate on the causes of the differences.
SWBAT record on a double bubble the differences between American slavery and slavery in other countries from your film/TPS notes
