Additional ESL classes / topics • Classes are: • - 3 units • 2 days a week Reading ESL 130 (level ESL 45+) Strengthen reading skills: comprehension, vocabulary, summarizing, and reading speed ESL 131 (level ESL 101+) Strengthen reading skills: comprehension of newspapers & literature, vocabulary development, and academic speaking Computer Literacy NESL 383 (noncredit, NESL 303+) Learn to use the computer: Windows, Word, Internet, email, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. Grammar ESL 12 (level NESL 304+) Learn basic parts of speech, verb tenses, agreement, and sentences ESL 13 (level ESL 45+) Work on clauses and sentences, verb tenses, gerunds, infinitives, and modals ESL 14(level ESL 55+) Practice advanced grammar: tenses, sentences, phrases, and clauses Pronunciation & Speaking ESL 9(level NESL 303+) Practice pronouncing sounds, words, phrases, sentences, & conversations ESL 10(level NESL 304+) Learn how to listen, analyze and improve your pronunciation ESL 20(level NESL 304+) Improve listening and speaking skills in presentations and conversations
