  1. Thirteen Reasons WhyBy: Jay Asher

  2. It started with just a tape.. • When high school student Clay Jenkins receives a box in the mail containing thirteen cassette tapes recorded by his classmate Hannah, who committed suicide, he spends an extraordinary and heartbreaking night going back and forth through their town, listening to Hannah's voice recounting the events leading up to her death. Hannah made thirteen tapes for thirteen different people and Clay just so happens to be one of those people. He tries to find out the struggle Hannah was going through at the time of this tragic event. • http://catalog.cincinnatilibrary.org/iii/encore/record/C__Rb2512563__Sthirteen%20reasons%20why__Orightresult__X5?lang=eng&suite=cobalt

  3. Why I think teenagers should read this book.. • This is a good book to read because many teens struggle with this problem everyday and there are a lot of kids that will be the very reason that their classmates have these struggles. Suicide is not an okay thing to do, but maybe this book will make the reader reflect on the way he/she treat other people.

  4. Book Reviews on Thirteen Reasons Why.. • “Asher has created an entrancing character study and a riveting look into the psyche of someone who would make this unfortunate choice. A brilliant and mesmerizing debut from a gifted new author.” -Kirkus • The message about how we treat one another, although sometimes heavy, makes for compelling reading. Give this to fans of Gall Giles psychological thrillers. -Booklist • The author gets all the characters right, from the popular girl who wants to insure her status to the boy who rapes an unconscious girl at a party where the liquor flows too freely, and the veneer of authenticity suffices to hide the story's flaws. Asher knows how to entertain an audience; this book will leave readers eager to see what he does next. -Publishers Weekly http://bna.galegroup.com/bna/about_the_book/GALE%7CM1300149414
