Mobile Web OSP • Handles device detection and then routes users to an appropriate template. • Basic (Feature phones) • Touch (Palm, Blackberry) • Webkit (iPhone, Android) • Uses JavaScript libraries (jQuery + jqtouch) to provide familiar mobile interaction functionality (flipping, sliding, etc).

  13. Our timeline • October 14: Development started. • October 28: Brief update + demo. • November 11: Soft launch. • January (??): Hard launch.

  14. MSU mobile community • A group of developers met last month to chat about mobile. We will probably meet again in the future (ask Brendan about that). • Centrally, we want to make it easy for developers on campus to start developing mobile sites.
