About DMIEC : • This college has been established by Rev.Fr.A.E.Arul Raj OMI and managed by DMI Sisters. • It is Managed by DMI Foundation Trust, Chennai; It is added to the DMI GROUP OF INSTITUTION in 2009. • DMI is known for its time-honorable tradition of imparting quality education to the society and rendering social service without discrimination. • The college is situated in a beautiful place near Aralvaimozhi in Kanyakumari District (Tamilnadu). • The idyllic surroundings with a vast expanse of windmills, caressed by gentle breeze from the hills and the calm atmosphere of the college are conducive for academic pursuits.

Infra Structure • Our laboratories with most modern equipments and computers are something that you should personally visit and experience. • All the laboratories are able to accommodate more than sixty students at a time • We have one of the finest computer centers at the college; three computer labs have a total of 600 latest computers. • We have an auditorium capacity of over 400 students and board room for conducting board meeting. • The central library has an extensive collection of books and is augmented on a continuous basic. The library subscribes to popular periodicals, national and international journals

Departments • This department focuses on the art of engineering complex Software system. • It teaches you state -of-the–art software design and programming technologies , and develop your skills in management, team work , and working with people. • You will gain experience of software development by working in a group to develop software for real companies in the second year. • The third year, half of your time will be spend on a substantial individual project that will allow scope for your creative and intellectual input.

Attendance, Exam Management, E-mail to parents and Students through EMS Software. • LAWRANCE AND MAYO-AWARD-instituted by Lawrance & Mayo Company. Mr.Azeez Mohammed (Outstanding Students in Civil Department) received this award. • Government organisations like DRDO, DIT, CSIR, DST, DOES have sponsored our college for conducting the seminars and workshop by worth 8.8 lakh rupees

Placement Cell • The  Assistant Placement Officer, the Placement Office staff and the student representatives handle various crucial tasks in the office like reaching out to companies, scheduling & executing placement-related activities and carrying out all official communication with recruiters and with students. • The team of student representatives communicate with the placement office and coordinate the activities of the other student members and ensure compliance with various Institute policies; Company Coordinators who execute coordination with the recruiting organizations; and Department Placement Coordinators who steer student preparedness and employability enhancement initiatives.
